About This Tour
Mount Batur Sunrise Trekking is an outdoor adventure to enjoy the beautiful sunrise at an altitude of 1717 meters above sea level, Mount Batur. Climbing to the top of Mount Batur is the best adventure to see the sunrise in Bali. To reach the sunrise point we have to climb for approximately 2 hours including several stopping points along the way.
Mount Batur stands at a height of 1,717 m above sea level. There are many climbing routes available, but we provide the best route through Toya Bungkah village. This volcano is believed to be one of the sacred mountains in Bali after Mount Agung and is located between Songan Village and Village, precisely in Kintamani District, Bangli Regency, Bali.
Do Mount Batur Sunrise Trekking at dawn under darkness illuminated with a flashlight provided by our guide. At first it may not feel like a climb because the path is flat, but after reaching half way you will pass through slippery sections and require a lot of effort to reach the top.
Once we reached the top, the sky changed from black to deep blue, then to slowly changing pinks and oranges. From this section you can imagine how far you have come in the past 2 hours.
Mount Batur Sunrise Trekking
There are three best spots to enjoy the sunrise on Mount Batur, namely the spot on the southern peak called Puncak Jero Salin in the southeast, the Puncak Jero Wage Spot on the northern peak and the spot in the northwest of Puncak Kaja Kauh, Puncak Kaja Kauh is one of them because there are only a few people who knows that place.
Grab a seat overlooking the village rooftops at the bottom while sipping a hot drink, breakfast light with a delicious banana sandwich and poached eggs cooked in volcanic steam. This is an unusual experience that you will have during your trip.
Explore the caldera at the top of Mount Batur after finishing breakfast and taking some photos. Then we will gather at the edge of the main crater in front of the lower edge of the main crater. In this area you will be able to see monkeys, take photos and make several videos.
Start climbing at 04.00 am and your Mount Batur Sunrise trekking tour will finish around 09.00 am. Of course, it really depends on how fast your speed is during the trip.

The Mt. Batur Sunrise Trekking was a really nice experience. Our driver Eka picked us up at our accommodation on time at night. He was very friendly and told us a lot about Bali and the locals. The hike up Mt. Batur in the middle of the night was adventurous and super tiring, but our guide helped us wherever we needed it.
But the sunrise at the top was definitely worth it, it was beautiful. It gets very cold up on the mountain, so be sure to bring something warm to wear! You have to take the same route down again for 1.5 hours. The thermal springs were also very nice and we had 2 hours more time than expected. All in all, a super cool tour that I would recommend to everyone.
